APTERA_NOTE

Over a shell of orange and grey it wears a white skull for a face. Faces of bone are hardly a rarity here. A long navy coat, and a row of small bottles hanging at the waist; as to what is in them, I was not told.

It answers the thing the other one did not say. It can smell it, apparently. I would rather not be sniffed at myself — though I am, as always, in excellent spirits.

Among all those disreputable faces, this is the only one working, and quietly at that. When night comes, this room's lamp is the last one still lit. It never once speaks of anywhere to go back to. It must simply be fond of the work, I shall write.
