A black coat, a black top hat. The wardrobe, at least, is impeccable.

Though just beneath the brim — where a face ought to be — a thicket of pink and red tentacles spills out. Frankly, it is hideous.

Somewhere in that tangle, a few eyes and pearls catch the light. They may be looking this way. Unfortunately for them, I looked first.
