Black rabbit ears, I wrote. Later they came off. Not ears, then.

Bears and rabbits scattered all over its coat, and a great knot of ribbon at the throat. The taste for walking about wearing other creatures I cannot claim to follow. It does not belong to the same flock as any I have set down so far; which flock it does belong to, I cannot yet write.

It talks all day long in a room with no one in it. And still, somewhere, it seems there are others watching. They look in, and say nothing. A distasteful business. Quite unlike myself, who merely keeps a record.
